Robert Majkut is one of the most important, leading Polish designers, who, thanks to the hard-earned brand and individual style is all the time a very popular designer and creator of places of a special and pioneer character.

Born in Szczecin in 1971, he graduated with distinction from an artistic secondary school with furniture design as major; at the beginning he was architecture student at Szczecin University of Technology. Since 1988 he has been involved in art as graphic artist, painter and creator of installations; he was presented next to the best Polish artists such as Tadeusz Kantor or Prof. Józef Robakowski. He undertook individual course of studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań with Prof. Jarosław Kozłowski as tutor, a graduate of Cultural Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Rebel without a cause, a man of the breakthrough era, creation and maturing of paradoxical social and cultural changes in Poland.

Today Robert is a designer, humanist, cultural anthropologist, businessman, but most of all creator.
He represents a conscious level and style of designing, based on defined determinants, in which natural, cultural, humanist and economic aspects are most important.
His style is the essence of the combination of a formal design with innovation and the most recent technologies, embraced by appropriate cultural frames, social and human context, determining new directions of perception of the constantly changing needs of a man and his environment.

Robert as designer is sensitive to humanoid forms, oblong, round, close to nature, i.e. also to man, constituting its integral part. As creator he pays special attention to recording of the human gesture, in his projects he is inspired by human movement and the man himself.

For Robert the cultural aspect of design is the inalienable permeability of the past and present, consciousness of that which has been important and determined – "the future is tomorrow invented today”. Design in his understanding translates into and focuses on pioneer, progressive solutions, changing our reality for a specified, meaningful, good purpose.

Thanks to a high culture of work, design maturity and numerous implementations – in the whole realisation process – from an outline to the minutest detail in the ready element or interior, and legendary quality requirements – he became one of the most highly valued and experienced designers in the sector, operating in the segment of the most exclusive and demanding brands and investors. He works with the elite of the Polish business, both in the commercial and private sector.

Many times he was rewarded for his work, among others in 2002 with the “Rising Star” award by British Council within the framework of CFI programme in the leading design company of “the new Europe” category. He was honoured by the British government, participated in 2004 in the official celebrations related to the EU expansion in London, was invited for meetings with Prince Edward and Prime Minister Blair.
He was honoured by the highest authorities of the Republic of Poland, sector and journalist groups, among others nominated for Elle Style Awards in the “good design” category, rewarded for his interiors, which become places– icons.

He has been active in the field of popularising good design. A member of the programme council of New Culture Boom! Change Foundation. Guest speaker at Polish artistic universities, at leading Polish furniture manufacturers, juror of competitions, expert quoted in media, described and presented in Polish and foreign press. Abroad he is regarded as the one who changes Polish public spaces, offering to the Poles a better quality of life.
